Struwwelpeter is an 18th Century German storybook of cautionary tales for children. The book is comprised of ten illustrated and rhyming stories each illustrating often fatal or grim consequences for any misbehaviour. The design brief for this project invited us to explore a different genre of costume and performance with a directed design focus on puppetry.  We were asked to design for the puppet and the puppeteer exploring all types of puppetry that could be utilized in a moving performance on stage.
