My concept for This brief is to reimagine this film production set in rural Japan. Researching close equivalents or versions of the western folk lore creatures of myth that are introduced and portrayed in the original film, my aim is to re-imagine these in their original setting and environment. In addition to this, I will also aim to design them in a way to capture their individual characteristics with their versions of folklore being similar in activities, temperament and personality of these creatures can be completely opposite. For textiles I will aim to mostly use organic materials and experiment through sampling, ways to encapsulate organic natural forms and nature.  I will design characters inspired through my samplings sampling and character analysis.
